Celtic Rainforest Festival

Celebrate the beauty of our Celtic Rainforests!

Join us for a day celebrating our precious woodlands at the Elan Valley. Experience demonstrations of traditional woodland skills including blacksmithing, leather tanning, and horse logging. Take part in a guided walk through the woodland, indulge in forest bathing, and discover more about our Celtic Rainforest.

Have a chat with different charities and organisations that are involved in the Celtic Rainforest Project and other projects in the Elan Valley.

Guided Walk

A walk through Cnwch Woods led by local botanist Ray Woods. Please meet Ray at 2:45pm at the Dam Worker Statue for 3pm start. Booking not necessary.

Forest Bathing*

Join Becky Brandwood-Cormack as she guides you through some forest bathing in our ancient Celtic woodlands. Connect to your body and to the woods.

Craft and Food Stalls

Peruse some of our local producers’ work including artisan chocolates, jewellery, ceramics, teas and more.

Horse Logger

Barbara Haddrill brings two of her working horses, Molly and Bluebell. Catch demonstrations throughout the day.

Live Music

Toby Hay & Holly Blackshaw, Marc Harpham, Mia Ellis, Will Griff, Kidd Raven (Emma Kidd), Ben Wilde, Ben Shearer.
