The Elan Valley Dark Sky Team brings the stars to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre with their pop-up planetarium.
Now is a great time to start planning to take your group somewhere special. Come and explore the wild landscapes and historic architecture of Elan Valley.
If you are a coach operator why not add us to your Mid Wales itinerary? Elan Rangers can offer guided tours of the estate, including inside Pen y Garreg Dam. In addition, we have a large coach park, entry is free and we’re open all year round. Free refreshments for coach drivers and tour guides may also be provided.
We offer bespoke packages for schools on a range of topics, suitable for any ages. How about learning about the water cycle, while standing in the centre of a dam? Or checking out our tailor-made pond and minibeast area, perfect for primary school students!
We also welcome Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scout Groups, Women’s Institute, u3a and other similar groups.
To receive our detailed Coach Operators Pack or make any other enquiry, please e-mail elanvalley@dwrcymru.com or call 01597 810880.
To help ensure your visit goes without a hitch we ask that all groups pre-book no later than two weeks in advance. Pre-booking for large groups is essential please.
Coach operators should note that due to narrow roads and lanes, coaches should follow a clockwise route around the estate.
You can also book group visits to our other visitor attractions Llys-y-fran (Pembrokeshire), Llandegfedd Lake (near Newport) and Llyn Brenig (North Wales). See our Welsh Water Adventures page for details.
