From the Visitor Centre, walk towards Caban Coch Dam and cross the bridge. Depending on the amount of water in the reservoir, it may be rather wet if water is cascading down – overspilling – the dam wall.
Walk around the turbine house and turn left, following the blue arrows through the metal gate.
Walk through the wood. When the path splits, take the right-hand path following the orange and red arrows.
Keep following the waymarked path through the woods until you reach a crossroads. Turn right to continue on the orange route up the hill.
After 150m turn right (don’t go through the gate), following the arrows to the top of the hill.
The path curves up to the left and at the top of the hill follow the path along the fence line.
Keep walking along the fence line until you reach a bench and a gate. Go through this gate and another gate about 15m on the right. Once through the gate, follow the arrows pointing downhill towards the dam.
At the T-junction, go left and through the metal gate. At the top of the dam, go through the gate on your right and down the steps to the turbine house at the bottom of the dam. Follow the blue arrows to complete the loop back to the Visitor Centre.
